Medical & Educational Disclaimer

Important — Please Read
Dentalverse is an educational tool for dental students and professionals. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgement, dental or medical advice, or official clinical guidelines. Content on this Platform — including dose calculators, video lectures, drug references, anesthesia guides, case scenarios, and AI-generated study materials — must never be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions on real patients.
1. Educational Purpose Only
All content on the Dentalverse Platform — including but not limited to drug information, anesthesia protocols, anatomy data, clinical procedures, medical condition summaries, case scenarios, AI-generated responses, video lectures, dose calculators, and study materials — is provided solely for educational purposes.
This content is designed to support learning within formal dental education programmes and to assist qualified or student dental professionals in studying. It is intended to supplement, not replace, formal dental education, clinical training, and professional supervision.
2. Not Professional Advice
Nothing on the Platform constitutes:
- Professional dental or medical advice
- A clinical diagnosis or treatment recommendation for any specific patient
- A prescription, whether for a drug or a local anesthetic
- A substitute for consulting a licensed dental or medical professional
- Official clinical guidelines or regulatory guidance
Drug dosages, clinical protocols, and procedure descriptions are provided for educational study only. Always refer to current official prescribing information, local clinical guidelines, and your institution's protocols when treating patients.
3. Dose Calculators — Study Tool
Dentalverse includes two dose calculators designed to help students learn the logic of dental dosing:
- Medication Dose Calculator (antibiotics and analgesics for dental indications)
- Local Anesthetic Dose Calculator (dental LA formulations with vasoconstrictor math)
Both calculators are educational study tools, not clinical decision support software. They display both the weight-based dose and the absolute maximum in parallel so the user can learn the dual-constraint principle. No output should be construed as a recommendation for a specific patient.
Source basis. Calculator rules are derived from, and cited inline against, the following reference sources current as of the "Last updated" date:
- Wilson WR et al. Prevention of Viridans Group Streptococcal Infective Endocarditis. AHA Scientific Statement. Circulation. 2021
- Lockhart PB et al. Evidence-based clinical practice guideline on antibiotic use for urgent management of pulpal- and periapical-related dental pain and intraoral swelling. JADA. 2019
- Moore PA, Hersh EV. Combining ibuprofen and acetaminophen for acute pain management after third-molar extractions. JADA. 2013
- American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Reference Manual of Pediatric Dentistry — current edition
- Malamed SF. Handbook of Local Anesthesia, 8th Edition. Elsevier. 2020
- U.S. FDA DailyMed manufacturer prescribing information
- American Dental Association Guide to Dental Therapeutics — current edition
Limitations you must understand. The calculators:
- Reflect a snapshot of guidelines at the time they were seeded; dental pharmacology evolves continuously.
- Do not account for every possible comorbidity, medication interaction, allergy nuance, or regional guideline variation. Local dental regulators may publish stricter or more permissive rules.
- Apply a deliberate, single set of rules (e.g. FDA position on paediatric articaine) that may not match every jurisdiction.
- Do not replace a full medical history, physical examination, ASA assessment, or the clinical judgement of a licensed dentist.
- Do not calculate doses for drugs or formulations outside the limited sets explicitly listed in the calculator interface.
You are responsible. Before using any output to inform real clinical practice, you must independently verify the dose against current manufacturer prescribing information, authoritative reference texts (Malamed for LA; ADA Guide or equivalent for medications), your institution's protocols, and the patient's specific circumstances. Dentalverse does not practise medicine or dentistry and cannot supervise any clinical encounter.
4. Video Library — Embedded Third-Party Content
The Dentalverse video library presents curated YouTube video content embedded via YouTube's official privacy-enhanced iframe player (youtube-nocookie.com).
We do not host, modify, re-host, or claim ownership of the embedded videos. The educational content, accuracy, and availability of each video is the responsibility of its original creator. We curate a selection for study purposes but do not independently verify every factual claim within each video.
Embedded videos remain subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If a creator removes a video, makes it private, or disables embedding, it will no longer play through Dentalverse.
Video content is for educational study only and does not constitute clinical advice. Verify any clinical technique shown in a video against your institution's protocols and current literature before applying it.
5. Tomorrow's Clinic, Clinic Mode & the Case Archive — Study Tools
The Tomorrow's Clinic features (day planner, prep sheets, Clinic Mode, readiness quizzes, the revision deck, and the case archive) are study and preparation tools for students training under supervision. They organise studying around the Platform's own educational library; they do not assess patients, plan treatment, or guide clinical care.
- The Platform records; it never advises. Step records, measurements, outcomes, and reflections you enter are your own study documentation. The Platform does not compute, check, warn about, or draw clinical conclusions from anything you record (entry fields may show generic usual-range hints that are identical for every user — these are data-entry aids, not clinical checks). All clinical decisions belong to you and your supervising clinician.
- Anonymous study profiles are pointers, not analysis. Recording structured study factors makes the study-profile panel list which of the Platform's own published library pages you may wish to review in full — it never extracts, ranks, or synthesises patient-specific guidance, doses, or warnings. If you use the optional AI study assistant, the structured factors you recorded are shared with it as study context and it is instructed to keep answers educational and refuse patient-specific directions; like all AI output, its answers must be verified and never treated as clinical advice.
- Supervision comes first. The walkthroughs are for preparing and reviewing supervised clinic training. Your supervising clinician's judgement — together with your institution's protocols — always takes precedence over anything on the Platform. If a real clinical situation needs attention, put the Platform away and involve your supervisor immediately.
- The case archive is a personal, supplementary study log. It is not a clinical record, not an official logbook, and does not replace your school's or regulator's required portfolio systems. Printable case summaries are study documents.
- Anonymity is mandatory. Case names are generated by the Platform; profiles have no name fields by design; and free-text areas (reflections, descriptions, plans) must never contain information that could identify a real person.
6. No Patient-Specific Advice
Inputs you enter into the dose calculators, study records you keep in the clinic tools, or notes you write while watching videos represent your own study documentation. They are not a clinical record and must not contain patient-identifying information.
No Platform output constitutes a prescription, a treatment plan, or a diagnosis for any real or identifiable patient. The Platform is not intended for, and must not be used as, a point-of-care tool in clinical practice.
7. Content Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and currency of content on the Platform. However, dental and medical knowledge evolves continuously, and content may not reflect the most recent clinical guidelines, drug approvals, or research.
Denverse Ltd makes no warranty, expressed or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of any content on the Platform. Use of any information is entirely at your own risk.
8. AI-Generated Content
Certain features of the Platform use artificial intelligence — powered by advanced AI language models — to generate study materials, answers, summaries, and quiz content. AI-generated content:
- May contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
- Should always be verified against authoritative clinical sources
- Is not reviewed by a clinician before being displayed to you
- Must never be used to make decisions about patient care
The dose calculators are not AI. They use deterministic, source-cited rules seeded from the references above. Every output is traceable back to a cited source, not generated by a language model.
See our AI Use Policy for full details on how AI features work and their limitations.
9. Limitation of Liability
Denverse Ltd, its directors, employees, contractors, and licensors shall not be liable for any harm, loss, injury, or adverse outcome arising from reliance on content or AI responses provided by the Platform, including but not limited to reliance on a dose calculator output, the content of an embedded video, an AI-generated study answer, or any other educational material. This includes clinical errors, adverse patient outcomes, exam failures, or any other direct or indirect consequence of using Platform content.
